American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring extensive L&D and C-section experience, along with current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.Job Details•Work in an acute care Labor & Delivery unit with 18 LDRP beds, 14 OB triage beds, and 8 antepartum beds,•Average of 8-10 deliveries per day with two fully equipped ORs for C-sections,•Patient assignments generally follow AWHONN ratio guidelines with typical ratios of 2:1 in L&D, 4:1 in Antepartum, and 1:1 for C-sections,•Care for laboring and preterm pregnant patients, beginning at 28 weeks gestation and above,•Uses Cerner EMR and Fetal Link EFM system,•12-hour night shifts ) with requirement to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule,•Floating to mother-baby/postpartum units or sister facility may be required,•OB hospitalist, anesthesia, RT, and pharmacy services are available in-house 24/7,Job Requirements•Active RN license (State or Compact) required at the time of consideration,•Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required,•Minimum 4 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required,•Strong experience with C-sections, including circulation and recovery duties, is mandatory,•Experience with Cerner EMR or similar computer charting preferred,•Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to offer with a minimum score of 80%, maximum 2 attempts,•Must pass a simulation lab and sterile technique proficiency exam on first day of orientation,•Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and another from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years,Additional Information•Responsibilities include patient care throughout labor, delivery, post-op C-section recovery, and antepartum units,•Expected to manage and titrate Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate drip protocols as per guidelines,•Scrub duties for C-sections are not required,•Blue scrubs are the required uniform,•First-day orientation includes unit-specific training and clinical assessments,•Candidates must not have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year unless PRN through an outside firm,•Must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility if permanent address is in AZ, NV, NE, IA, or MN,•Holiday and voluntary call coverage is appreciated but not required,•Assignment located in a Level II EQ and Level 1 Trauma Center,),•hash,:• ,
