American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry - Definitive Observation Unit night shift role requiring at least 2 years of acute care and telemetry experience.Job Details•Work in a 37-bed Telemetry - Definitive Observation Unit within an acute care hospital setting,•Patient population is ICU stepdown with lower acuity cases,•Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4,•Cerner EMR is used for documentation,•Requires working 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend coverage,•First to float to other Sacramento region facilities as needed,•Bedside report is standard practice at shift change,Job Requirements•Active RN license (state or compact) in hand at time of consideration, pending licenses not accepted,•Minimum of 2 years recent acute care RN experience, including telemetry,•Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS,•Ability to read and interpret EKG strips,•Must complete and pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam (Relias accepted if taken within the last 12 months) prior to acceptance, with two attempts allowed,•Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the last 3 years,•Copy of driver's license required for consideration,•Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year (PRN through outside firms allowed),Additional Information•Main responsibilities include caring for ICU stepdown patients and monitoring cardiac telemetry,•Orientation includes 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor,•Scheduled holiday rotations require working 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's),•Scrub color is navy; undershirts must be navy, white, or black,•Hospitalist or intensivist is in-house; nurse aides present as staffing allows,•RT and pharmacy available 24/7,•Sterile technique exam covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes is required on the first day of orientation, with passing mandatory for continued employment,•COVID-19 vaccine declinations accepted for medical (with physician note) or religious reasons,),•hash,:• ,
