American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night position in an acute care setting with Cerner Soarian charting and every other weekend requirements.Job Details•Work in a 48-bed Med/Surg unit within an acute care hospital,•Typical patient diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls, and weakness,•Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-7 on days and 1:6-8 on nights,•Uses Cerner Soarian EMR,•Night shifts are 12 hours, including every other weekend as scheduled,•Floating to other Med/Surg, Med/Surg-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patients as needed,•No call or standby requirements,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required,•Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required,•No previous permanent employment with any WVU Medicine location within the past 2 years,•Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility; no local travelers are accepted,•Must complete unit-specific orientation, including 1 day with educator/computer systems and 1 day with preceptor,Additional Information•RNs are responsible for titrating non-cardiac drips such as heparin, bumex, and lasix,•Respiratory therapists manage all respiratory equipment and treatments, RNs mainly monitor,•Monitor techs are responsible for reading telemetry; RNs do not interpret telemetry strips,•Charge nurse present on each shift and may take assignments depending on staffing,•Patient care techs and nurse aids assist with ADLs, vital signs, and other patient care tasks,•RN scrubs are navy blue,•Holiday coverage may be required as part of a rotation,•First time travelers are welcome to apply,•Travel nurses may only work within WVU for up to one year before a two-year break is required,),•hash,:• ,
