American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring 3 years of ICU and balloon pump experience.Job Details•Work in a Combination ICU (CCU) within an acute care hospital setting,•10-bed ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3,•Common patient types include respiratory distress, post-arrest, acute MI, balloon pumps, ventilator support, and patients requiring vasopressors,•12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement,•Rotating holiday coverage as assigned,•Cerner Soarian EMR is used; prior experience preferred,•Travelers may float to any inpatient unit and are first to float,Job Requirements•Active RN license is required,•Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience,•Previous balloon pump management experience required,•Proficiency in vent management and drip titration,•Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS,•Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips,•No previous permanent employment within WVU Medicine within the past 2 years,•Candidates cannot be considered as local travelers and must reside outside a 50-mile radius,Additional Information•Charge nurse takes full patient assignments,•RT staff are available 24/7 and manage respiratory equipment; RN responsible for troubleshooting,•Nurse aides typically scheduled from midnight to 7 PM but not in-house continuously,•Not a closed unit-care is managed by primary physicians with hospitalists available on-call at night,•Navy blue scrubs are required,•One day general orientation plus one day with a preceptor is provided,•Pass/fail EKG testing may be required for consideration,•Extension requests may only be submitted within 45 days of the end of the current assignment,•Travelers cannot work within WVU for more than one year without a two-year break,),•hash,:• ,
