Position Description
The Equipment & Supply Clerk is a Civil-Service position with the Nashville Fire Department. Performs responsible duties involving ordering, stocking, issuing, and delivering equipment and supplies to all NFD's personnel and facilities.
***Employees may be required to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Typical Duties
  • Review requests for supplies and equipment.
  • Assembles orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Distributes supplies and assists with inventory control.
  • Keeps accurate records and writes detailed reports.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required License:
Valid Driver License
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO . All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
