About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer to serve as a trusted advisor and leader in driving technology transformation and change within the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading both technology and campus communications, building consensus around the value of collaboration, and ensuring the alignment of technology strategy with the college's strategic plan. This role requires the ability to challenge conventional thinking, promote transformation, and maintain high levels of professionalism and collaboration. The CIO will also be tasked with developing and sustaining positive relationships with the institution's leadership, faculty, staff, and students, as well as implementing a modern technology governance process.
Applicants for the Chief Information Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Information Technology field, with a preference for those who have worked in a small and/or private college setting. The role demands a candidate with a broad and relevant knowledge of higher education, current technology trends, and experience in leading IT strategic initiatives. Strong people management, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and advise on technology-related matters. The CIO will be expected to stay abreast of emerging issues in higher education and technology, and to serve as an industry and customer expert within the broader corporate community. A background in Ellucian administrative/academic computing systems, particularly Banner SaaS, is also preferred.
