About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer to serve as a trusted advisor and leader in driving technology transformation and change within the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading both technology and campus communications, building consensus around the value of collaboration, and ensuring the alignment of technology strategy with the college's strategic plan. This role requires the ability to challenge conventional thinking, promote transformation, and maintain high levels of professionalism and collaboration with the campus community. The CIO will also be expected to stay abreast of emerging issues and trends in higher education and technology, and to serve as an industry and customer expert within the broader corporate community.
Applicants for the Chief Information Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Information Technology field, with a preference for those who have worked in a small and/or private college setting. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in leading IT strategic initiatives in a college or university environment, as well as current knowledge of technology trends in higher education. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of administrative and academic computing systems, with experience in Colleague being preferred. Strong people management, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and advise with high emotional intelligence. The CIO will be expected to travel up to 25% and must be adept at managing technology projects and resources to support the institution's goals.
