The HR Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources practices and processes within our aerospace manufacturing facilities. This role ensures the effective implementation of company policies and strategic HR initiatives while fostering a high-performance culture focused on quality, productivity, safety, and goal achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention of skilled manufacturing and engineering talent
- Partner with leadership to support organizational development, employee engagement, and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations including EEO, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, and ITAR
- Oversee employee relations including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
- Manage performance management systems and employee development programs
- Collaborate with safety, quality, and operations teams to promote compliance and continuous improvement
- Coordinate training programs and cross-functional development to meet aerospace industry standards
- Maintain and analyze HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll in coordination with corporate HR and finance
- Lead change initiatives including HRIS implementation and organizational changes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws and HR compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR functions in high-regulation industries such as ITAR or AS9100
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
