Warranty Coordinator Role
This position oversees warranty claim coordination between project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies related to ship new builds and dry docks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration and execution of warranty processes as specified in contractual agreements including shipbuilders, dry dock facilities, OEM subcontractors, marine systems, and vessels.
- Warranty Management: Coordination with stakeholders regarding warranty-related queries and issues; support project teams with implementation of warranty terms and conditions during design, construction, and operations; ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide training on warranty processes to shore-side stakeholders and shipboard personnel; conduct technical assessments and inspections of marine systems and equipment to determine validity of warranty claims; review, assess, and submit warranty claims according to agreed guidelines.
- Coordinate equipment requiring manufacturer or third-party support, including remote troubleshooting, on-site service needs, equipment repair, and logistics with Distribution Center, shipyard, OEM, and vessel.
- Support complex warranty issue resolution with Project teams; maintain accurate records of warranty claims and related documentation; enter and track warranty claims in AMOS.
- Investigate overdue, unsettled, and short-paid claims; oversee compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies, including Lloyd's Register, IMO Convention, SOLAS, ISPS, USPH, ADA, Risk Management, Legal, and Marine and Technical Specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent in marine engineering, warranty management, or a similar role within the offshore or marine industry.
- In-depth knowledge of marine systems, offshore installations, and related technologies.
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail.
- Shipyard and vessel life cycle management.
- Strong communication and administrative skills.
- Ability to support initiatives, documentation, and follow-up via Microsoft Office Suite and company-specific software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with local and international contractors, including internal teams or stakeholders.
- Travel domestically and internationally.
