The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating press brakes, reading blueprints, and applying trigonometry in their work. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional with 5-10 years of relevant work experience who can contribute to our high-quality production standards and meet customer specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specificationsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine product specifications and production requirementsSet up press brake machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tools and diesAdjust machine settings, such as pressure, speed, and feed rates, to optimize production and ensure quality outputPerform precise measurements using various measuring tools and instruments to ensure conformity with specificationsApply trigonometric principles to calculate bend allowances, angles, and other critical dimensionsInspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformity to specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues with press brake machines or production processesMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulationsCollaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to optimize production flow and efficiencyDocument production data, including completed work orders, material usage, and quality control reportsTrain and mentor junior operators on proper press brake operation techniques and safety proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce wastePerform routine maintenance on press brake machines and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance teamRequired Qualifications5-10 years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in operating various types of press brake machines, including CNC-controlled equipmentStrong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processesExcellent blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret technical drawingsSolid understanding and application of trigonometry in press brake operationsProficient in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesExperience with different materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steelFamiliarity with quality control procedures and standards (e.g., ISO 9001)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workGood physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in metal fabrication is a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience with CNC programming for press brake machines
