TIAG is now hiring a

Network Engineer

to join our team at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The Network Engineer will manage and maintain the NIH Facility Network (FACnet) and coordinate between operational technology networks and enterprise IT infrastructure for all Facility Operational Technology systems (FOTS).

This position is based in Bethesda, MD and is primarily on-site requiring an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. As a result, US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement.

Position Responsibilities

Administer FACnet infrastructure supporting OT systems across 291+ buildings, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems Monitor and test network performance. Provide network performance statistics and reports Coordinate network changes with NIH CIT and facility operations teams Design and implement network architecture for air-gapped and segmented systems Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. Support connectivity for air-gapped, isolated networks Provide support on security policy configuration, administration and management of Palo Alto firewalls Perform network troubleshooting and incident response including SNMP, Netflow, DHCP, DNS, 802.1x, Netflow, and Spanning-tree. Use troubleshooting tools to include Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco and SIEM logs or similar Maintain network documentation and configuration management Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry Implement security controls for OT network segments Perform STIG compliance checks Required Qualifications

Associate degree (at a minimum) in Information Technology - Networking or equivalent 3-5+ years network engineering and system administration experience Experience with Cisco networking equipment and VLAN management Knowledge of industrial network protocols and OT security requirements Competence with cable testing tools and patching Understanding of air-gapped network architectures Experience with firewalls Active DoD Secret clearance required CompTIA Security+ certification IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA, CISSP) Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative global environment

Pay Range:

$100,000 - $130,000 per year
