Consumers love Spiceology's creative blends, recipe inspirations and innovations in flavor.The sanitation Associate is responsible for ensuring all food processing equipment and production areas are cleaned and sanitized in compliance with company policies, FDA, WSDA, and SQF standards. This role is to assist in all warehouse, office, and restroom cleaning within the facility. Most of the cleaning will be schedule based but will also include the assistance of the production team to clean production rooms on a changing schedule. The role consists of mostly independent tasks with days of team effort cleaning. Shift work between 2pm-10:30pm.Key Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize, floors, walls, and facility surfaces using approved chemicals and procedures following the sanitation calendar. Manage the sanitation room and keep tooling items cleaned, put away, and ready for the production team on the following day.Follow and complete daily Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks and checklists.Work to improve the sanitation schedule by identifying new areas for cleaning and frequencyClean and maintain non-production areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and locker rooms to ensure a hygienic environment for all employees.Work with Quality Assurance and Production teams to identify sanitation issues and implement corrective actions.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs/SSOPs), and food safety protocols (HACCP, FSMA, etc.).Report any food safety, quality or safety issues to leadership immediately.Operate cleaning equipment such as sprayers, foamers, dishwashers, and floor scrubbers.Follow all employee safety standards, specifically in regards to sanitation.Ability to document cleaning tasks through paper and electronic measures and report back to the team.Qualifications:Required:High school diploma or GEDAbility to work in wet, humid, hot and changing temperaturesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsBasic understanding of safety and chemical handlingAble to work independently and complete assigned tasksAble to work a flexible schedule with a second shift focusPreferred:Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitationFamiliarity with GMP, HACCP, and sanitation best practicesEnjoyment for cleanliness and sanitation while working independentlyWorking Conditions:Exposure to dusty, sometimes wet environments and changing seasonal temperaturesUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) requiredFast-paced, physically demanding roleMay involve working around hazardous chemicalsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly wage starting at $20/hrHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for advancement and cross-training
