A thriving construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a background in pre-engineered steel construction to join their growing team. This individual will play a critical role in preparing competitive, accurate bids and takeoffs for commercial ground-up projects. Reporting directly to leadership, the ideal candidate will manage multiple estimates simultaneously, interact with vendors and subcontractors, and ensure proposals reflect both the scope of work and company standards. They're looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented estimator who values integrity and is ready to grow with a highly stable, ethics-driven construction firm.

Construction Estimator Responsibilities: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate cost estimates and labor projections Perform quantity takeoffs for pre-engineered steel and other commercial construction components Prepare bid packages and review subcontractor bids for accuracy, completeness, and scope alignment Maintain current pricing databases by building and managing vendor and supplier relationships Communicate with subcontractors to solicit and evaluate pricing and availability Collaborate closely with project managers and drafters to align estimates with production requirements Present bids to leadership, including labor, materials, and subcontractor recommendations Ensure proposals are submitted on time and in a professional, detailed manner Assist with post-bid evaluations and change order pricing Construction Estimator Requirements:

7+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years estimating ground-up commercial projects Proven expertise in pre-engineered steel buildings is required Ability to bid multiple projects simultaneously, typically 5-10 at a time Experience with takeoffs, labor and equipment cost analysis, and subcontractor bid evaluation Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and bidding software Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Clean driving record Cultural fit with company's values: humility, honesty, accountability, and integrity Experience with Tekla PowerFab or Microsoft Project is a plus Pre-engineered steel background with experience estimating projects in the $1M-$5M range is preferred Familiarity with Mennonite-based business values is a plus Benefits:
