We are seeking a

Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

with

4 to 8 years of experience

to join the firm’s San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled litigator to contribute to a dynamic management-side Labor & Employment practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience and a deep understanding of both federal and California employment laws. Key Responsibilities: Represent employers in litigation involving wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment matters Handle proceedings before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies Take ownership of case management, including drafting pleadings and motions, responding to discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings Provide strategic counsel to clients on employment compliance, internal investigations, and workplace policies Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategies and ensure timely deliverables Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation and case law Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FEHA, Title VII, ADA, and wage/hour regulations) Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision Effective collaboration and communication with colleagues and clients Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials Admission to the California Bar and in good standing 4–8 years of employment litigation experience, preferably at a law firm Prior experience handling discovery, motion practice, hearings, and agency proceedings Salary & Benefits: Base salary range of $175,000–$250,000, commensurate with experience Annual performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Professional development support and continuing legal education opportunities Hybrid work flexibility (with a preference for in-office presence several days per week)
