Associate Attorney Employment Litigation Full-Time | Hybrid (Remote/Onsite) in Downtown Los Angeles A respected Plaintiffs employment litigation boutique located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 25 years of employment litigation experience (biglaw defense experience is a plus). Our firm is known for its results-driven culture, supportive team environment, and commitment to excellence in client service. We value attorneys who are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about advocacy. This is a life-style change as there is no hourly billable requirements. Key Practice Areas Employment Litigation: Wage & Hour (including PAGA and class actions), Discrimination & Harassment, Wrongful Termination, Retaliation, California Labor Code violations

Responsibilities

Handle employment cases from intake through resolution (pre-litigation through settlement, arbitration, or trial) Draft pleadings, motions, and supporting briefs with minimal supervision Conduct legal research and draft persuasive memoranda Manage written discovery and take/defend depositions (fact and expert) Represent clients in court appearances, motion hearings, and mediations Work closely with senior associates and partners to develop and implement litigation strategy Maintain case calendars and ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications

25 years of active employment litigation experience (biglaw defense experience is a plus) Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar Demonstrated experience in discovery, depositions, and law & motion Strong knowledge of California employment laws and civil procedure Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Ability to independently manage cases and prioritize deadlines Experience with wage & hour class actions, PAGA, and FEHA claims is highly desirable
