Position will be a key member of the Accounting and Finance organization supporting high technology clients in the Bay Area. The primary responsibility of this role is the development and management of the external reporting process, including all required technical accounting support.
Responsible for establishing the process for the preparation of all SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, earnings releases, and development of the company’s Financial Reporting Policies and Standards, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Coordinate with third-party service providers to prepare documents for SEC filing and earnings releases.
Support the external SEC filing process for the company’s IPO effort, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Research and analyze technical accounting issues and their application to internal and external reporting, ensuring US GAAP compliance. Summarize analysis and conclusions for executive review and general ledger recording.
Collaborate with other departments to assess reporting implications of changes in US GAAP, ensure compliance with new standards, and coordinate necessary changes.
Work with Business and FP&A teams to understand budget implications and implement planning strategies for accounting issues.
Support month-end and quarter-end closing and reporting processes.
Ensure compliance with FAS 123R as the primary owner of stock-based compensation accounting, including valuation, forecasting, and collaboration with HR.
Assist in developing the company’s SOX compliance program.
Participate in other special projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience, including at least 6 years at a Big 4 public accounting firm preferred.
Proven proficiency in SEC reporting and accounting research.
Strong project management, leadership, relationship development, and people management skills.
Results-oriented with the ability to manage projects, collaborate across teams, and execute tasks efficiently.
High-tech industry experience preferred.
Title will depend on the candidate’s background; this is a senior position, so applications are encouraged.
Ability to pursue new business and maintain client relationships.
