About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance/Controller to be the senior financial leader, directing the accounting, finance, and reporting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support growth and profitability in the real estate industry. Key responsibilities include partnering with executive leadership to develop financial strategies, providing financial modeling and analysis for various real estate projects, and advising on capital structure and financing options. The role also involves leading the budgeting and forecasting process, managing treasury and cash flow, and ensuring compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA and/or MBA preferred, and at least 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the real estate industry. Strong knowledge of real estate accounting, investment structures, development financing, and property management systems is essential. The role requires a proven track record in leading financial teams, implementing systems and processes, and excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. The Vice President of Finance/Controller will also be responsible for team leadership and development, implementing process improvements, and financial systems to enhance efficiency, as well as establishing internal controls and risk management policies.
