About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its West Los Angeles Chapter. This pivotal role is focused on external community relations, with a primary responsibility for supporting mission capacity building, and strengthening relationships across all community elements. The successful candidate will serve as the face of the organization, maximizing its presence and connectivity in the community. Key tasks include developing and managing the chapter board, and community volunteer leaders, and influencing to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion. The Executive Director will also be involved in disaster response and may be required to deploy to disaster situations.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and sustaining community relationships and partnerships. Proficiency in MS Office is essential, and familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws is a plus. The Executive Director must be a team player, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers, and staff, and to travel as needed.
