Position Overview:

We are seeking a

Full-Time Unit Clerk

to support the day-to-day administrative and clerical operations of our

Medical/Surgical Unit . This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth communication and documentation flow between departments, clinical staff, and patients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as the communication hub for the Medical/Surgical unit, handling phone calls, messages, and coordination with other departments Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors professionally and compassionately Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, medical records, and unit logs Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner Input data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Ensure availability of necessary forms, supplies, and equipment for clinical staff Support nursing staff in clerical and logistical functions as needed Monitor patient assignments and bed tracking systems Uphold patient confidentiality and hospital standards in all communications Able to enter data into the electronic medical records (EMR), order entry, medication entry into OMAR and monitor telemetry activity Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience as a Unit Clerk or in a healthcare administrative role preferred Proficiency with computers, data entry, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems strongly preferred Telemetry Certification REQUIRED Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a clinical setting Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and patient-centered care Benefits Include:
