About The Team DoorDash’s Commerce Platform empowers merchants with the tools they need to grow and operate their businesses—both in-store and online. Drive On-Demand is a key component of this platform, providing white-label fulfillment solutions for merchants across verticals such as Grocery, Convenience, Retail, Alcohol, Health, and more. The Commerce Platform Logistics team is a sustainable growth team within Commerce Platform. Within the Commerce Platform Logistics team, we own cost and quality for the Non-Restaurant (NonRx) business—ensuring that DoorDash Commerce Platform is the most cost effective, reliable way for merchants to reach as many customers as possible through their first-party channels. This includes expanding product offerings and improving network efficiency to reduce fulfillment costs and support merchant growth while providing Dashers with valuable earnings opportunities.
About The Role At DoorDash, our goal is to empower local economies. A key part of that mandate is to improve fulfillment efficiency and costs to allow more merchants to scale e-commerce channels. We are looking for a leader with an “and not either/or” mindset who is passionate about driving sustainable growth. As a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations – Delivery Cost, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving fulfillment cost and efficiency, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of network efficiency improvement strategies. Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational, from sizing the impact of a change to leading experiments in response to merchant or dasher escalations.
Responsibilities
Partner with Finance & Strategy to track and analyze fulfillment cost metrics across different lines of business and strategic merchants.
Support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor fulfillment cost and efficiency improvement efforts.
Partner with Analytics and Product teams to scope and assess initiatives that can improve fulfillment cost and efficiency.
Assist in structuring and executing operational tests to learn quickly and inform the product roadmap.
Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives that enhance merchant and customer experience.

Analyze key fulfillment cost metrics and contribute to defining north star metrics that track performance improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance & Strategy, Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations) to manage the P&L and identify key levers for fulfillment cost improvement.
Run structured experiments and operational tests to uncover the best ways to improve fulfillment cost and efficiency.

You have strong analytical skills and can use data to identify trends, uncover root causes, and drive informed decision-making.
You are comfortable working with data—deep Excel/Google Sheets modeling required; SQL experience is a plus.
You have experience creating financial models.
You are execution-focused and can break down complex problems into actionable steps.
You thrive in a cross-functional environment and are comfortable working with Finance & Strategy, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams.
You are highly detail-oriented and have a strong ability to organize, track, and analyze performance data.
You have a bias for action and can operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
You are customer- and merchant-obsessed and excited to help merchants scale their first-party fulfillment through Drive On-Demand.
3-4 years of relevant experience
You have a Bachelor’s degree.

Compensation and Benefits The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $78,200—$115,000 USD. Base salary is localized according to work location. In addition to base salary, there are opportunities for equity grants.
