Per Diem Patient Access Representative

plays a crucial role in greeting patients and ensuring a smooth registration process. You will collect and enter demographic and financial information accurately into an electronic medical record. Location:

800 E 28th St, Minneapolis, MN 55407 Primary Responsibilities: Warmly greet and welcome patients. Accurately collect demographic and insurance details. Assist patients with check-in and paperwork completion. Guide patients to their appointments or procedures. Support scheduling for additional appointments as needed. Document any issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record. Resolve claim issues or registration errors on patient accounts. Utilize resources and tools to complete registrations efficiently. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, focusing on complex billing situations. Provide patients with cost information and clarify any questions. Collect co-payments or deductibles and discuss financial assistance programs. Screen and approve patients for financial assistance options. Assist and guide patients through the financial assistance application process. Offer technical or functional support to team members. Help patients complete information requests and submit them to the right departments. Obtain necessary signatures from patients. Gather medical record information as required. Provide excellent customer service through inbound and outbound calls. Mentor other staff as needed. Perform other assigned duties. Required Qualifications: Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Availability to work standard daytime hours for the first 3 weeks post-hire for training. Flexibility to work on a per diem basis across various shifts, including weekends. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Revenue Cycle processes. General office experience. Familiarity with Epic systems. Physical Demands: Regular walking, standing, bending, and turning. Able to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally and 2-5 lbs. frequently. *Please note:* The sign-on bonus is exclusively for external candidates. Compensation is based on various factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. Alongside your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package covering healthcare, incentives, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions, all subject to eligibility requirements. The hourly pay for this position will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, based on full-time employment standards.
