Our team is working with a leading real estate private equity fund based in Boston looking to hire a Portfolio Accountant to their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the firm from investor relations and acquisitions to asset management and valuations while gaining exposure to a wide variety of real estate investments. This role is a full time hybrid position (3 days in the office & 2 days at home) with a base salary up to $115K plus bonus and strong benefits. What you’ll do
Review and monitor monthly financial reports from third-party property managers. Oversee compliance with accounting practices and evaluate financial performance. Conduct periodic desk audits, including recovery income, lease administration, and expense reviews. Assist in quarterly and annual financial closes, including preparing statements, debt covenants, and investor reports. Coordinate with auditors, tax teams, consultants, investors, and lenders. Prepare financial entries for acquisitions and dispositions, fund-level reconciliations, and wire/draw requests. Support ad-hoc projects and special assignments. What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred). 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to public accounting and/or real estate. Advanced Excel skills; Yardi experience is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
