Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Company Overview:

A leading real estate investment firm with over $30 billion in assets under management is seeking a Portfolio Accountant to join their Investor Accounting team in Boston, MA. The role involves assisting in the financial close process and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review monthly financial reports prepared by third-party property managers for assigned real estate assets
• Oversee third-party property managers and provide guidance on accounting practices
• Review financial performance, evaluate NOI fluctuations, and review outstanding tenant receivables
• Complete periodic desk top audits and communicate results to asset managers
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and underlying schedules
• Prepare quarterly debt covenants and consultant/investor reports
• Coordinate with external audit and tax team on required deliverables
• Prepare quarterly NCREIF deliverables and review property and fund level returns
• Calculate monthly management fees and prepare forecasts
• Review monthly fund level bank reconciliations and prepare fund level wire requests
• Prepare investment acquisition and disposition entries
• Handle ad hoc projects and requests as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting strongly preferred
• 2-3 years accounting experience is a must
• Public Accounting & Real Estate Accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills critical; Yardi familiarity a plus
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $90,000 – $110,000, Plus Bonus
