Our client is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically strong
Accounting Manager
to help lead the financial operations of a growing solar and energy solutions provider. As an established yet agile company operating across several U.S. states, they are at the forefront of delivering premium solar, battery storage, and roofing services to both residential and commercial customers. This is a high-impact opportunity for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to take ownership of core accounting functions during a pivotal period of system upgrades and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring experience in renewable energy or construction, a deep understanding of WIP and inventory accounting, and a strong foundation in technical accounting. Experience with NetSuite implementation is a significant plus. Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, WIP schedules, and inventory accounting. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial reporting. Support the ongoing transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including data migration, process mapping, and internal training. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations. Manage technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and job costing. Ensure proper accounting treatment for construction- or energy-related project activities. Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals to support audits, filings, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within renewable energy, solar, or construction. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including WIP, inventory, and project-based accounting. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and participation in a NetSuite implementation or integration. Proven ability to build, document, and improve accounting processes in a scaling business environment. Job details
