In-House Assistant Attorney/Litigator
with
restructuring experience
to join our growing legal team.
Responsibilities
Provide legal guidance and support to the practice on a wide range of matters, including
restructuring, litigation, healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk management .
Review, draft, and negotiate complex legal documents including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in bankruptcy, restructuring, and healthcare law.
Collaborate with executives, managers, and department heads to provide practical legal advice.
Represent the practice in litigation, restructuring proceedings, and other legal forums as necessary.
Coordinate with outside counsel and oversee external legal matters.
Assist in developing and implementing corporate legal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in New York (required) and New Jersey (preferred).
Significant experience in
restructuring, litigation, and business law .
Minimum 3-5 years of experience required.
Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and compliance requirements a plus.
Proven ability to manage complex legal matters with strategic and business-minded thinking.
Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
