Position Overview The

Chief Financial Officer

is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of all financial operations of Community Hospital. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO serves as a key advisor to the executive team and Board of Trustees. The CFO will oversee financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle, accounting, materials management/supply chain and financial compliance, ensuring the long-term financial sustainability and growth of the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic financial leadership, aligning financial goals with the hospital’s mission and strategic plan. Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including full revenue cycle oversight, financial services, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, materials management, supply chain, and the hospital charge master. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and strong internal controls. Direct the development, maintenance, and optimization of the hospital’s charge master to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with reimbursement strategies. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate service lines, growth opportunities, and capital projects. Partner with department leaders to provide financial insight and support data-driven decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, auditors, and financial institutions. Lead and mentor the finance, financial services, materials management, and supply chain teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. CPA, CHFP, or FHFMA certification strongly preferred. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Demonstrated expertise in hospital/health system finance, including revenue cycle, reimbursement, and payer contracting. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Ability to foster collaboration across teams and work effectively with a governing board. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
