You’ll own critical accounting processes, manage the month-end close, work directly with auditors, draft technical memos, and oversee financial reporting. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in operational and technical accounting, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is energized by solving complex problems with a high degree of ownership. We are hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead and scale our accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to dive deep into the details and leading cross-functional initiatives that shape our financial infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in Overjet’s growth journey by owning critical accounting processes, managing the month-end close, working directly with auditors, drafting technical memos, and overseeing financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead and own the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting packages

Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Manage the external audit process, including all PBC requests, auditor communications, and internal coordination across teams

Draft and review technical accounting memos (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350) and ensure compliance with evolving GAAP standards

Maintain and improve accounting processes for AR, AP, payroll, expense reports, stock-based compensation, and intercompany activity

Act as a NetSuite super-user, ensuring data integrity, leading system enhancements, and supporting integrations with upstream and downstream systems

Own equity accounting and cap table reconciliation in collaboration with Legal and People teams

Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, People, and GTM teams to ensure alignment on financial matters and support strategic initiatives

Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of the accounting function

Mentor and manage a team of accountants and third-party resources to deliver high-quality work and support their professional development

Support tax filings, compliance reporting, and ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or audit; Big 4 experience strongly preferred

CPA designation required

Experience managing the close process end-to-end and leading teams through audits

In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation

Strong technical accounting experience with SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606

Demonstrated ability to draft and review technical memos and white papers

Exceptional command of AR/AP cycles and operational accounting

Deep experience with NetSuite ERP and related integrations (e.g., Ramp, Bill.com, Rippling, Carta, etc.)

Proven track record of improving processes, automating workflows, and implementing systems

Experience with equity accounting and stock-based compensation under ASC 718

Strong leadership and team management experience, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders

Experience working in a multi-entity or global company structure

Experience with Best Practices for Collection and AR Playbook

Experience managing offshore or distributed accounting teams
