ABOUT THE ROLE
The Equipment Loading Operator plays a crucial role in safely managing the operation of all machinery used for loading and unloading rail cars, boats, and trucks. This position ensures order accuracy and timely processing of requests.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of grounds, offices, warehouses, and yards.
Execute tasks related to loading and unloading both bulk and bagged materials for rail, waterway, and road transportation as appropriate.
Understand and proficiently operate truck loading equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical upkeep.
Sample products from trucks and barges, adhering to company policies.
Keep precise maintenance records for all terminal equipment.
Perform clerical duties following established guidelines for tracking receipts, shipments, and inventory.
Commit to communicating and improving health, safety, and environmental policies in all workplace settings, fostering a safety-first culture.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High School diploma or GED required. Experience:
1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. Licenses Preferred:
Valid Driver's License. Computer and Software Skills:
Basic proficiency in computers, Microsoft Office, and SAP required. Additional Requirements: Experience with customer service and operation/maintenance of equipment. Understanding of cement manufacturing processes or logistics preferred. Technical skills in welding, machine repair, and basic electricity are advantageous. Candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the seal meets the face for passing fit tests. WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary.
