The Role

We’re looking for a Director of Solutions Architecture who is equal parts sales strategist, technical expert, and customer advocate. This role will serve as the critical linchpin between Sales, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success—ensuring our enterprise customers (and top prospects) receive technically sound, scalable, and compelling solutions that help them say “yes” and stay for the long run. You will collaborate with pre-sales and post-sales experts and play a key role in our most technically complex implementations. This is a foundational hire. You’ll create the playbook, scale the function, and act as the voice of both the customer and the field. You’ll directly influence revenue growth—both in closing new deals and in unlocking expansion opportunities within existing customers. What You’ll Do

Pre-Sales Solutioning & Strategy: Lead technical discovery with enterprise prospects for the more technically complex areas in collaboration with the sales solution engineering team and translate business needs into solution architectures using GoFundMe Pro’s platform. Partner with Sales on proposals, RFPs, and demos to present a compelling technical and value-driven narrative. Drive confidence and reduce friction in the sales process by answering deep technical, integration, security, and scalability questions. Build trusted relationships with nonprofit technology leaders and executives. Post-Sales Success & Expansion: Ensure seamless handoffs from sales to implementation, creating solution blueprints that inform onboarding and integration. Stay engaged with strategic accounts post-sale to advise on optimization, integration upgrades, and expansion opportunities. Collaborate with Customer Success and Account Management to unlock upsell and cross-sell through technical insight and credibility. Infrastructure, Enablement & Team Building: Establish solution architecture processes, documentation, and tooling for repeatability and scale. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to influence roadmap based on real customer use cases. Build and deliver quick integrations and proof-of-concept applications to drive adoption and explore tech solutioning. Lay the groundwork for a high-performing Solutions Architecture team—mentorship, hiring, and leadership opportunities. Who You Are

7–10+ years in B2B SaaS—ideally in a hybrid Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer / Product-leaning role. Proven success supporting enterprise sales cycles and closing large deals with complex requirements. Strong technical fluency: APIs, integrations, authentication models, security protocols, data structures. Comfort navigating CRMs, Data Warehouses, fundraising platforms, and nonprofit or mission-driven ecosystems. Excellent communicator who can adapt to audiences from CTOs to Heads of Development and Fundraising and from frontline engineers to large gift officers. Entrepreneurial builder with a bias for action—you’ve stood up new functions or processes before. Why you’ll love it here
