Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. You will own the technical engagement and the success around specific implementation projects, define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, develop deep expertise in AWS technologies, and be a security subject matter expert as it relates to customer applications and services. You will work with a world-class sales and business development team and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community. From idea to IPO and beyond, AWS supports EdTech customers to build and launch solutions on the AWS Cloud, helping them start, grow, and optimize their businesses. You will address challenges such as scale and adapting solutions for new modalities of learning. Responsibilities
Execute a strategic technical account plan for platform adoption, including establishing relationships to influence technical stakeholders. Direct customer interaction to technically qualify and validate sales opportunities (e.g., conduct architecture meetings to validate solutions). Provide thought leadership to evangelize the AWS platform (e.g., public speaking at customer/partner events). Curate and document best practices to accelerate deployments of AWS solutions (e.g., public whitepapers, blogs, code). Conduct technical enablement for customers/partners (e.g., Immersion Days). Capture customer feedback to evolve the AWS platform. Required qualifications
Basic Qualifications 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure. 4+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet-related industries. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective. Travel
Ability to travel 2530%. About the Team
Known as the EdTech SouthEast Team, part of the NAMER-based WWPS EdTech team, with five EdTech teams divided into three strata by scope and spend. EdTech and Govtech teams are part of the larger SLG/EDU domain. The team includes Senior Solutions Architects and Solutions Architects who collaborate with Account Managers. About AWS
