Overview
We are seeking a
Vice President of Land Acquisition
to drive strategic growth by identifying, evaluating, and securing prime land opportunities for residential and mixed-use projects. This leadership role is ideal for a driven professional with a deep understanding of land transactions, market dynamics, and entitlement processes. You'll take ownership of the full acquisition cycle from sourcing to negotiation to closing. Responsibilities Proactively source and assess land opportunities in target growth markets. Conduct full due diligence, including zoning, environmental, title, and utility reviews. Evaluate land values through competitive analysis and market comps. Negotiate and structure land contracts, LOIs, and joint venture agreements. Collaborate with development and engineering teams to assess site feasibility and entitlement paths. Work with local municipalities and regulatory bodies to advance approvals. Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, and community stakeholders. Oversee and manage acquisition documentation and closing processes.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition or residential development. Proven ability to manage complex deals and secure entitlements. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a results-driven mindset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally as needed.
