Project Accounting Manager

This position is a new role created to support the Project Accounting Group Manager with accounting review, direction, and oversight for workload and staff. It will lead inventory optimization and other process improvement efforts in support of the Oil & Gas and Power Generation organizations.
Areas of responsibility are varied and of medium to high complexity, including:
Interaction and presentation of data to multiple functional areas and levels of management in Finance, Business Management and Power Systems Operations
Review of monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
Support of PwC and COE audits of revenue and inventory controls
Supervise one new accountant and/or agency contractor
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or an equivalent degree with at least 18 college units in Accounting required
3-5 years of accounting experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Demonstrated high levels of initiative, leadership, good judgment, and effective communication skills
A broad understanding of accounting business processes and a comprehensive knowledge of Solar’s business, products, suppliers, and customers
Ability to resolve issues independently and take responsibility for outcomes
Strong analytical, process improvement, problem-solving, and human relations skills
Prior experience in financial/business analysis and experience with Solar systems (Hyperion/Essbase/Smartview, Windchill, Baan 5c, ERP LN, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.)
Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business and/or professional license (CPA, CMA, etc.)
Summary Pay Range $108,834.00 - $163,252.00
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
