Accounting Manager

Overview High growth mission based publicly traded company in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the financial reporting function. Report directly to a great CAO and work closely with others on the executive team. The person in this role will prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) for quarterly and annual external reporting, ensure US GAAP compliance, and prepare/review XBRL tagging. Will also assist with financial statement preparation and analysis as well as provide technical accounting guidance and prepare memos as needed.

Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) for quarterly and annual external reporting.

Prepare/review XBRL tagging and ensure US GAAP compliance.

Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.

Provide technical accounting guidance and prepare memos as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

Master’s Degree in Accounting preferred

CPA or CPA Candidate preferred

Hands-on experience auditing/reviewing SEC filings in public accounting or preparing SEC filings

4-8 years’ experience from public accounting or doing SEC reporting within publicly traded companies

The ideal person is seeking a fast-paced environment where the entire team is very hands-on
