MISSIONS: Misericordia’s Human Resources department is hiring for one full-time HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator schedules new hire pre-employment appointments, processes new hire paperwork, background checks, coordinates pre-employment exams and drug screens and completes the I9/E-Verify. The HR Coordinator on-boards new hire candidates into the payroll system, conducts new hire orientations, and maintains licensure and certification reports to maintain compliance. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and engagement. The person fulfilling this role will require the ability to multi-task and manage multiple facets in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills along with a strong work ethic and commitment to the mission and values of Misericordia. Provides front desk reception coverage as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

Schedule pre-employment appointments and coordinate background checks, pre-employment exams, and drug screens

Process new hire paperwork and complete I-9/E-Verify

On-board new hire candidates into the payroll system and conduct new hire orientations

Maintain licensure and certification reports to ensure compliance

Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment

Provide front desk reception coverage as needed

Qualifications

B.A./B.S. degree in HR or related field

1-2 years of experience in a HR office (required)

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Familiarity with ATS HR system (preferred)

Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

Detail oriented with strong time management

Bilingual – Spanish/English (required)

Pay Range:

$22-24 per hour
