Executive Consultant - Business Development US - CDMO A leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) is seeking a Director, Business Development to expand its presence in the small molecule drug substance market. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering tailored solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech partners. Responsibilities
Drive new business development and revenue growth by identifying and closing opportunities in small molecule drug substance services. Develop and manage relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical clients across discovery, clinical, and commercial stages. Partner with internal technical and operational teams to translate client needs into customized solutions. Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and deal closure. Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic planning. Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, life sciences, or related field (advanced degree a plus). Proven track record (5+ years) in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the CDMO/CDO space, with a strong focus on small molecules and drug substance. Solid understanding of chemical development and manufacturing processes. Established network of biotech and pharma contacts in the U.S. market. Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in a growing organization. Job Details
