Role / Title

This is a Research and Development (R&D) Packaging technical role in the Packaging Center Technology Platforms Group. The candidate will lead innovative and disruptive packaging technology platforms (such as Package Sustainability & Innovation) to deliver novel, competitively advantaged solutions across the Kraft Heinz portfolio. The role includes researching and identifying research pathways, demonstrating proof of concept, technology scale up, and commercialization or transition of technologies to the business unit. The individual must have strong technical skills and be able to link technologies to applications while demonstrating intellectual curiosity, problem solving, leadership, and project management skills. The position requires managing multiple assignments with autonomy and potential to mentor junior packaging researchers. A collaborative mindset and innovative problem solving are essential. Key Components of the role

Manage multiple/large initiatives with complex scopes and cross-enterprise impact Work with internal teams and cross-functional partners to understand opportunities and build plans with defined timing and deliverables Build and coordinate relationships with suppliers, technology partners, design and innovation partners to drive packaging innovation Execute design exploration, build innovation and research plans, conduct patent/literature reviews, document tech, prototype, test, and qualify on pilot/production equipment Translate consumer learnings and technical research into meaningful solutions and drive packaging design and innovation adoption Act as technical/commercialization expert for junior developers and support projects requiring problem solving Lead functional training and process improvements for the packaging organization Present to global teams, senior leadership and key stakeholders Maintain a high degree of autonomy Qualifications

BS/MS/PhD in Packaging, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related field Minimum 6 years of experience in Packaging Development or Research and commercialization (including graduate work or internships) Expert understanding of packaging materials, functionality, qualification and commercialization of multiple packaging formats, design of experiments, and ability to coach others Expert understanding of packaging design and innovation and ability to coach others Excellent, proven communication, influencing, project/platform management and problem-solving skills Strong ability to lead, coach and motivate others Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize work Willingness to travel 30% EEO Statement

$102,100.00 - $127,600.00 Bonus:
