Overview
Our client is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal in Chatham, NJ with experience in personal injury and PIP claims. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a competitive salary and the chance to join a dedicated team of New Jersey personal injury and medical malpractice lawyers who protect the rights of accident victims across the state. The role provides hands-on experience managing claims, allowing you to make a direct impact on clients’ outcomes! Base pay range
$60.00/hr - $80.00/hr Responsibilities
Prepare and file tort claim notices, PIP applications, and initial claim correspondence accurately and on time. Draft Answers to Interrogatories, discovery responses, and amended interrogatories independently. Communicate with clients professionally and compassionately throughout the process. Request, review, and coordinate medical records with attorneys as needed. Manage and resolve Medicare/Medicaid and ERISA liens efficiently. Draft and serve subpoenas and coordinate with medical and liability experts on deadlines and reports. Assist with trial preparation and support settlement efforts, including releases and stipulations of dismissal. Job Requirements
3+ years of paralegal experience in a plaintiff personal injury law firm is a must Strong knowledge of New Jersey personal injury practice and procedure Proficient in legal document drafting, file management, and discovery process Familiarity with legal software and case management systems preferred – SmartAdvocate is a plus Knowledge of online court filing systems is required. Solid computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Outlook; experience with a document management system is required; SmartAdvocate is a plus.
