KPMG is currently seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities
Work closely with internal Virtualization Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements and build/deploy appropriate tools; provide technical leadership in development, integration, and testing of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, supporting multiple geographic locations, network enclaves, and virtual desktop pools
Offer input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other components of the network security infrastructure; collaborate with different technology teams and vendors
Design, upgrade, test, and modify the VDI environment based on capacity and utilization requirements; troubleshoot and correct detected or reported faults or outages; stay informed on current industry directions and trends; deliver technology and products on schedule and with high quality
Provide expert advice and guidance to carry out plans and procedures; ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets are met; deliver last-tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause and preventative analysis
Build configuration management, service provisioning, inventory management, resource management, process automation, visibility, and self-service tools; provide training and guidance to other team members
Qualifications
Minimum seven years of recent experience in virtualization design and engineering while managing and supporting large-scale projects
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
Experience with designing new VDI environments and supporting technology solutions; must have experience with cloud-hosted VDI solutions
Skills should include Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, Citrix NetScaler/ADC/VPX, Citrix Gateway Service, Citrix App Layering, Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi; strong understanding of multi-site non-persistent and persistent VDI environments; familiarity with networking equipment
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and systems management
Ability to create architectural and technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer; strong troubleshooting skills
