Responsibilities

Provide expertise in identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI in civil and criminal litigation, select FOIA requests, Congressional inquiries, and other inquiries.

Provide criminal discovery support including identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI.

Serve as the expert technical user of electronic discovery tools including Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, Legal Hold Management Tool (LHMT), and the Veritas eDiscovery Platform.

Work with the litigation team to develop a discovery plan detailing search parameters (date range, keywords, custodians) for a case.

Use electronic discovery software to collect data from FBI storage locations on FBI IT systems (e.g., MS-Exchange servers, shared drives, desktops, text and instant messages) to support FBI attorneys, paralegals, Information Management Division personnel, and case agents on pre-trial discovery matters, FOIA/C congressional inquiries, and other requests.

Analyze search and collection results to identify data gaps.

Administer data inputs into an electronic discovery review platform (e.g., eDP) including creating cases, adding source data, managing access, de-duplicating, identifying gaps, merging and verifying data, and ensuring Bates-numbered load file production quality.

Coordinate discovery collection results with FBI units responsible for processing discovery for review, redaction, and release.

Adhere to policies and procedures for electronic discovery software and provide training and technical assistance to agency attorneys, paralegals, and other users.

Provide guidance on FBI processes for identifying, preserving, collecting, analyzing, and organizing ESI, including use of electronic discovery software.

Provide ad hoc support to end users of the electronic discovery platform repository.

Document electronic discovery plans and procedures for each case.

Facilitate requests for legal hold implementation, amendment, and/or lifting in LHMT.

Provide eDiscovery collections on criminal cases.

Qualifications

5+ years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions.

3+ years of progressively responsible experience on major litigation support projects.

2+ years in Relativity, beyond document review coding.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both eDiscovery technical teams and non-technical business leaders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Experience with eDiscovery services across the EDRM (File to Trial).

U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance preferred).

BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience (JD highly preferred).
