eDiscovery Technical Advisor (Top Secret Clearance Required)
Base pay range: $137,200.00/yr - $186,200.00/yr
Employment Type: Full-Time, Executive-Level Department: Legal
CGS is seeking a dedicated eDiscovery Technical Advisor to join a fast-paced team to assist with legal accounts. This role supports various aspects of the company’s portfolio and serves as a key technical advisor in eDiscovery processes.
Responsibilities
Identify, preserve, collect, process, and produce ESI in support of civil and criminal litigation, select FOIA requests, Congressional requests, and other inquiries.
Provide criminal discovery support, including identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI.
Act as the expert technical user of electronic discovery applications (e.g., Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, LHMT, Veritas eDiscovery Platform).
Collaborate with the litigation team to develop discovery plans with search parameters (date ranges, keywords, custodians).
Use electronic discovery software to collect data from FBI storage locations on FBI IT systems (e.g., MS-Exchange servers, shared drives, desktops, text/IM) per the discovery plan to support OGC attorneys, paralegal specialists, Information Management Division personnel, and case agents.
Analyze search/collection results for data gaps and administer data inputs into an electronic discovery review platform (eDP): creating cases, adding data, managing user access, de-duplication, and ensuring production quality (Bates numbering and load files).
Coordinate discovery collection results with FBI units responsible for processing for review, redaction, and release.
Adhere to policies and procedures for using eDiscovery software and provide training and technical assistance to agency attorneys, paralegals, and other users.
Provide information and guidance on FBI processes for identifying, preserving, collecting, analyzing, and organizing ESI, including the use of software programs.
Provide ad hoc support to end users of the electronic discovery repository.
Document electronic discovery plans and procedures for each case.
Facilitate requests for legal hold implementation, amendment, and/or lift in LHMT.
Provide eDiscovery collections on criminal cases.
Qualifications
5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions.
3 years of progressively responsible experience on major litigation support projects.
2 years in Relativity beyond document review coding.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both eDiscovery technical teams and non-technical business leaders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Experience with eDiscovery services covering all realms of the EDRM (File to Trial).
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance preferred).
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience (JD highly preferred).
