Research Scientist 1, The Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI) Job Description:
To design and execute experiments to develop new understanding and methods for testing small extracellular vesicles (sEV) for therapeutic delivery. Responsible for developing methods for rapid bacterial and adventitious agent detection in sEV manufacturing, utilizing mass spectrometry and next-generation sequencing (NGS). The role involves validating these methods through spiking studies and integrating them into manufacturing processes. The scientist will support validation efforts, perform NGS in complex biological matrices, and design workflows considering sample quality and data integrity. Job Requirements: Ph.D. with at least two years of experience in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related fields Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, ELISA, and Western blotting Ability to work independently and in teams Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NGS in complex matrices Experience in mammalian cell culture and rapid analytical tool development Application Deadline:
