General Manager / Operations Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Production Manager

to lead our truck fabrication and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and manufacturing processes, extensive knowledge of Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks, and proven leadership experience in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires hands-on management, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to lead a skilled team to meet quality, safety, and production goals. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the truck fabrication and assembly shop. Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and delivery timelines. Supervise and support production staff, welders, and assembly technicians. Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency in all fabrication processes. Monitor and improve welding and fabrication procedures to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. Troubleshoot production issues, including hydraulic system installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines. Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and quality control teams. Maintain accurate production records and reports using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Provide technical training and mentorship to team members. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in truck fabrication, welding, and manufacturing. Strong understanding of Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks, including chassis layouts, drivetrain configurations, and upfitting procedures. Proficient in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication techniques. Experience with hydraulic systems: installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Proven leadership and team management experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Work Environment: Shop floor and office environment. Requires standing, walking, lifting, and occasional work in outdoor or elevated environments.
