KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Enterprise Contracting Center: State & Local Government Team organization.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a comprehensive, specialist level knowledge of contract lifecycle management to set and drive a service management-centric strategy for Enterprise Contracting Center (ECC) contracts team(s); ensure consistent application of guidance in providing advice or other solutions to the ECC and business area professionals; ensure contracting processes are followed by contract managers per business, Risk Management, Independence, and Office of General Counsel requirements
  • Strategic and proactive responsibility to contribute to the achievement of ECC goals by participating in the development and execution of tactical plans that improve client service, create incremental client value, cost savings, and process re-engineering
  • Direct or be a primary contributor on multiple key projects, programs and initiatives requiring advanced contract management knowledge and negotiation skills; make independent decisions on high risk and complex matters; identify process improvements and contribute to innovation through enhancements that create client value, process efficiencies, and/or enhanced quality
  • Regularly interface with partners and professionals to champion ECC's value to the firm; build relationships with the most senior leaders at client organizations to provide a positive first impression of the firm
  • Provide credible advisory by assessing client long-term business needs; assess and mitigate professional practice/regulatory risks/issues related to terms; provide insights on intellectual property protection issues and guidance to enable leadership decisions on key terms
  • Provide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff to advance career development; manage and review team members' work; contribute to short-term project planning and annual resource deployment; may have people management responsibility for a mid-sized to small team

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years of experience in contract management, procurement, and/or deal desk, leading negotiations of complex contracts and overseeing a team of contract management professionals
  • Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, advocate for leading contract lifecycle management practices, and understand legal matters
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to lead with customer service and teamwork; capable of directing and empowering others to achieve organizational goals
  • Certified in Contract Management (NCMA) preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
