The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safety and comfort through all stages of the birthing process. This position requires a strong understanding of obstetric practices and the ability to respond effectively to patient needs and emergencies. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and monitor labor and delivery, including preoperative and postoperative care.- Provide care for high-risk and low-risk antepartum patients in both labor and delivery settings.- Attend all deliveries and assist in GYN surgeries as needed.- Administer medications, including blood/blood products, insulin, heparin, magnesium sulfate, and manage PCA pumps and epidural pumps.- Utilize advanced medical equipment, including warming/cooling blankets and wound vacs.- Ensure effective communication with interdisciplinary teams and patients.- Participate in patient education regarding labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and assessments. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.- Previous charge experience preferred.- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Washington or a valid compact license.- Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).- Proficiency in performing specialized procedures related to maternal and neonatal care.- Ability to float to postpartum and NICU areas based on skill set. Additional Information: - Staffing Ratio: 1:1-3, depending on the situation.- Candidates must provide proof of local residence (preferably a driver's license) within 50 miles of the facility.- Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate facility scheduling requirements.
