Job Description: Integration Engineer III
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop REST and SOAP-based API integrations between the GRC platform and external systems (e.g., HSDW, CDM, CyberScope, analytics tools).
- Develop secure, authenticated data flows using JSON/XML aligned with HHS cybersecurity and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to define integration requirements and transformation logic.
- Enable automated enterprise reporting by integrating the GRC platform with compliance dashboards and metrics platforms.
- Monitor, test, and troubleshoot data exchange pipelines to ensure uptime, performance, and accuracy.
- Maintain documentation of integration endpoints, schemas, credentials, and data flow mappings for audit readiness.
- Support modernization and automation initiatives by evaluating and implementing connector tools and optimizing APIs.
- Work with security teams to ensure integrations align with Zero Trust architecture and data minimization practices.
- Participate in release coordination, sprint reviews, and peer reviews of integration tasks.
- Track integration tasks and maintain change logs using ServiceNow or equivalent tools.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing APIs and data integrations for enterprise IT systems.
- At least 3 years of direct experience with GRC platforms, including RSA Archer.
- Strong expertise in REST and SOAP-based APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Knowledge of data security principles, Zero Trust architecture, and RBAC models.
- Ability to communicate complex integration strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- RSA Archer Certified Administrator certification.
- MuleSoft Developer or similar API integration certification.
- Familiarity with HHS enterprise architecture, CDM data exchange, and interoperability requirements.
- Experience with OSCAL adoption for machine-readable compliance artifacts.
- Experience supporting FISMA, OMB A-123, or other federal compliance initiatives.
