As a Product Marketing Lead, you’ll play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping how customers experience Affirm’s products. You'll help define our customer strategy, lead high-impact go-to-market initiatives, and develop compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. This role has full ownership of high-impact initiatives, operates with minimal guidance, and manages multiple stakeholders to resolve complex challenges. You will shape product and marketing strategies through deep insights and cross-functional alignment, delivering results at a functional level. What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end Go-to-Market strategy and execution; navigate ambiguity; leverage customer research, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategy, prioritization, and impact. Enhance strategic partner engagement: develop messaging and materials for cross-functional teams; define quarterly partner communications and customer segmentation with partner merchants; understand partnership functionality and key revenue/cost drivers, plus cross-functional factors that influence them. Drive effective communications strategy: craft consumer-facing communications that leverage insights; test, track, and optimize; influence decision-making with customer and merchant insights. Operate with agility and drive execution: navigate ambiguity, manage multiple high-priority initiatives, anticipate risks, and plan and execute; evaluate trade-offs to balance short-term impact with long-term value. Use data to inform execution: advocate for customer pain points and opportunities; develop data-driven decision frameworks; translate business goals into actionable product marketing and GTM strategies. Leverage business and product acumen: understand Affirm’s ecosystem and revenue/cost drivers; own success metrics for partnership-focused areas; align with business objectives. Collaborate across teams to drive alignment: build strong relationships with Partner, Merchant, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Analytics, and other teams; mitigate risks from shifting priorities or unclear requirements. Be a culture carrier: champion Affirm’s values, foster collaboration, transparency, and innovation; lead by example in creating an inclusive and growth-oriented environment; encourage risk-taking and experimentation. Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in product or partner marketing, or a similar role, ideally in a Payments or Fintech environment. Proven track record of leading partnership strategy and communication alongside product launches and GTM strategy that delivers business results. Sets a high standard of quality and serves as a role model for others on the team. Proactively identifies areas for improvement in team deliverables, processes, or strategy and implements solutions. Champions innovation by experimenting with new approaches and sharing learnings with the team. Collaborates across teams to bring new perspectives and elevate the organization’s overall performance. Excellent communicator and storyteller, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for a wide range of audiences. Highly analytical mindset—confident with data and able to extract insights that influence partnership communication and marketing strategies; constantly leveraging data to optimize product performance and user engagement. Confident cross-functional team leader who can manage multiple relationships with partners, merchants, and stakeholders to drive the marketing communication strategy forward with buy-in from multiple teams. Experience navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities. Experience working with in-house designers and content developers to drive flawless execution in both design and copy communication; work to tie customer-facing communication together across multiple touchpoints with one cohesive strategy. Campaign development leader with the ability to pull insights from customer data and build an effective campaign with multiple communication touchpoints. Pay Grade - K Equity Grade - 6 Base pay is part of total compensation and may include equity rewards, stipends, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $140,000 - 190,000 USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $124,000 - 174,000 Affirm is remote-first; most roles are remote and you can work from anywhere in the country of employment.
