Product Marketing Lead, Consumer

As a Product Marketing Lead, you’ll play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping how customers experience Affirm’s products. You'll help define our customer strategy, lead high-impact go-to-market initiatives, and develop compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. What You’ll Do
Lead Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution: Own the strategy and execution end-to-end. Navigate moderate-to-high levels of ambiguity with minimal input. Leverage customer research, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategy, execution and strategic prioritization. Enhance Strategic Partner Engagement: Develop messaging and materials that inform the cross-functional team and set each owner up for success, including strategic reasoning for quarterly communication touchpoints and customer segmentation strategies with partner merchants. Understand partnership functionality and key revenue/cost drivers within scope, along with cross-functional factors that influence them. Drive Effective Communications Strategy: Build the consumer-facing communication strategy that taps into insights to inform product and partner execution. Test, track and optimize communication strategies to inform future executions. Influence decision-making through customer and merchant partner insights. Operate with Agility and Drive Execution: Navigate ambiguity, bring clarity to cross-functional projects, manage multiple high-priority initiatives, anticipate risks, and maintain momentum through planning and execution. Evaluate trade-offs to balance short-term impact with long-term value. Use Data to Inform Execution: Advocate for customer pain points and opportunities at key decision-making forums. Develop frameworks for how teams use customer data to drive actionable decisions. Translate business goals into actionable strategies for product marketing and go-to-market initiatives. Leverage Business and Product Acumen: Understand the Affirm ecosystem and the revenue/cost drivers that impact marketing and product performance. Own success metrics for partnership-focused areas and ensure alignment with business objectives. Collaborate Across Teams to Drive Alignment: Identify and mitigate risks from shifting priorities or unclear requirements. Build relationships across Partner, Merchant, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Analytics, and other teams. Be a Culture Carrier: Champion Affirm’s values and culture, fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation. Lead by example in creating an inclusive, growth-oriented environment. What We’re Looking For
5-7 years of experience in product or partner marketing, ideally in payments or fintech. Proven track record of leading partnership strategy and communication alongside product launches and GTM initiatives that deliver business results. Sets high standards of quality and serves as a role model for the team. Identifies areas for improvement in deliverables, processes, or strategy and implements solutions. Champions innovation by experimenting with new approaches and sharing learnings. Collaborates across teams to bring new perspectives and elevate performance. Excellent communicator and storyteller with ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences. Highly analytical mindset; comfortable with data and extracting insights that influence strategies and performance. Uses data to optimize product performance and engagement. Confident cross-functional leader who can manage multiple relationships to drive the marketing communication strategy forward with buy-in from multiple teams. Experience navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities. Experience working with in-house designers and content developers to drive flawless execution in design and copy; align customer-facing communication across touchpoints. Campaign development leadership with ability to pull insights from data and build campaigns with multiple touchpoints. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Pay Grade - K Equity Grade - 6 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on a simple and transparent pay structure based on location, experience, and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $140,000 - 190,000 USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $124,000 - 174,000 Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company. Most roles are remote and you can work from anywhere within the country of employment. Some roles may require occasional office work. Benefits
