To support the University vision, the Division of Enrollment Management, Communication, and Student Affairs will work creatively and diligently to attain optimal enrollments, enhance student development and success, and support the academic units and overall mission of the institution with the purpose of ensuring seamless systems and positive experiences for our students.
The Office of Admissions at Colorado State University Pueblo will support the University vision and enrollment goals by providing intentional, professional, and attentive service to facilitate recruitment and admission, with the purpose of attaining students from varying backgrounds who are well-suited to the University. The Admissions Counselor is an integral member of the student recruitment team. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and facilitate on- and off-campus programs for first-year students.
Provide counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents.
Participate in recruitment activities and visits to Colorado high schools and select out-of-state high schools.
Maintain positive relationships with secondary school personnel.
Assist in making admission decisions for first-year students.
Recruit and assist transfer students with admission within primary territory.
Assist in the development of communication plans and recruitment publications.

Works to create and maintain a positive working relationship with high school counselors, community college staff, students, families, and other organizations within assigned territories to facilitate new student recruitment. Assists with the first-year student registration process, including moving students from admitted to deposited to enrolled by building schedules. Provides counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents. Contributes to additional functions in the Admissions Office and the Visitor Center, and assists in other aspects for recruitment as required, to include backup support for the Call Center. Ancillary Duties
