Colorado Department of Revenue The Division of Enrollment Management, Communication, and Student Affairs will work creatively and diligently to attain optimal enrollments, enhance student development and success, and support the academic units and overall mission of the institution with the purpose of ensuring seamless systems and positive experiences for our students. Description Of Job The Admissions Counselor is an integral member of the student recruitment team. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: develop and facilitate on- and off-campus programs for first-year students; provide counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents; participate in recruitment activities and visits to Colorado high schools and select out-of-state high schools; maintain positive relationships with secondary school personnel; assist in making admission decisions for first-year students; recruit and assist transfer students with admission within primary territory; and assist in the development of communication plans and recruitment publications. Primary Duties Recruits new students to the University by participating in recruitment activities including visits to Colorado high schools and select out-of-state high schools as well as phone, email, text, and written outreach. Attends recruitment events both at the University and outside. Undertakes travel and territory planning --including use of data to make informed decisions-- for successful completion of targeted recruitment goals Works to create and maintain a positive working relationship with high school counselors, community college staff, students, families, and other organizations within assigned territories to facilitate new student recruitment. Assists with the first-year student registration process, including moving students from admitted to deposited to enrolled by building schedules. Provides counseling on the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their parents. Ancillary Duties Serves on various University and community committees. Salary Range $50,000 Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university Valid unrestricted driver’s license Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed Ability to lift and carry materials needed for recruiting purposes Experience working with varying populations Experience in a position requiring planning and execution of extensive travel plans both in and out of a state Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in marketing, communications, or a related field Bilingual (Spanish and English) Sales experience, customer service experience, or experience with public speaking Experience in college admissions, visitors center, or comparable positions Experience in a position requiring independent work and self-motivation Experience in a position that required multi-tasking, prioritizing, and follow-ups conducted in a timely manner, in the office and while traveling Supplemental Information All interested candidates must apply through the online application system. a letter of intent (cover letter) describing the means in which you meet the qualifications for this position a current resume or CV unofficial or official transcripts showing the required degree conferred three professional references, either within the application or as an attachment Colorado State University Pueblo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
