Acquisition Policy and Programs Analyst

Location: Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Pentagon, and other office locations within the National Capital Region (NCR).

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI required (SAP eligibility preferred)

Years of Experience: 10+ years of directly relevant experience in space acquisition or Air Force acquisition programs

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Policy and Programs Analyst to provide advisory and integration support for enterprise-level acquisition programs. This role will support senior Department of Defense leadership by driving acquisition policy, program oversight, and executive-level communications for mission-critical initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in space or Air Force acquisition programs, understands DoD acquisition pathways, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, senior-level environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior leadership by providing program performance monitoring, acquisition pathway guidance, and portfolio-level oversight.
  • Lead development and implementation of acquisition policies, statutory/regulatory compliance, and senior-level reporting requirements.
  • Conduct business health metrics analysis, prepare program assessments, and utilize data tools to inform senior leadership decisions.
  • Support Defense Industrial Base coordination and provide insights into industry health, capability gaps, and integration opportunities.
  • Manage Congressional reporting requirements and interface with senior executives on testimony, strategic messaging, and industry engagements.
  • Provide technical, programmatic, and policy support across space architectures, capability delivery planning, and integration of NSS programs.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, decision papers, and senior leader reports to stakeholders.
  • Serve as an advisor to senior leaders, supporting decision forums, taskers, and cross-functional working groups.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, public policy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of acquisition experience, with emphasis on space systems, Air Force programs, or national security acquisition.
  • TS/SCI clearance required; SAP eligibility highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in DoD 5000-series, adaptive acquisition pathways, and enterprise-level policy development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to produce executive-level reports and briefings.

Preferred Expertise & Background

  • Background in space acquisition, Air Force acquisition programs, or National Security Space systems.
  • Deep understanding of AFLCMC, SMC/SSC, SpRCO, and other DAF-managed programs.
  • Familiarity with PPBE, program health analysis, and DoD acquisition frameworks.
  • Experience preparing testimonies, posture statements, and Congressional engagement strategies.
  • Proven ability to support O-6, SES, and General Officer-level stakeholders, including tasker management and executive decision prep.
